The Garavice Memorial Area is one of the most significant places of remembrance in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Located not far from the center of Bihać, it was erected in memory of the thousands of innocent civilians who were killed in this area during the summer of 1941. The monumental monument, surrounded by forest and a well-maintained memorial space, symbolizes respect, a warning, and a lasting memory of the victims. Today, Garavice represents a place of silence, dignity, and historical remembrance, offering visitors the opportunity to learn about an important part of Bihać's and Bosnia and Herzegovina's past and to pay tribute to the victims.
