Džamija Stari grad Jezerski

religious site in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Region: Northwest Bosnia — Una Valley

The mosque in the Old Town of Jezerski near Bosanska Krupa is one of the most important cultural and historical monuments in the region. Built in 1576 during the arrival of the Ottoman army led by Ferhat Pasha Sokolović, it belongs to the traditional wooden-minaret mosque style typical of Krajina. Located within a medieval fortress, together with a tower and defensive walls, it forms a unique national monument complex of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Despite damage and partial reconstructions over time, the mosque has preserved much of its original appearance and richly decorated interior. Today it is no longer in use, but remains an important tourist attraction and a testimony to the Ottoman past.
