In the village of Arapuša near Bosanska Krupa stands a memorial house dedicated to Mehmed Džemaludin Čaušević, Reis-ul-Ulema, reformer and spiritual leader of Bosniaks. After studies and service in Istanbul, he returned to Bosnia in 1903 as a teacher of Arabic in Sarajevo and later became professor at the Sharia Judicial School in 1909. In 1913 he was elected Reis-ul-Ulema and served until 1930, initiating important educational reforms. Opened in 2018, the memorial house preserves photographs and documents, while its traditional courtyard reflects authentic Bosnian heritage.
