    Stari grad Todorovo (Novigrad)

The Old Town of Todorovo (Novigrad) is located on a gentle elevation in the settlement of the same name and represents a valuable trace of the turbulent history of the Bosnian Krajina. The fortress is mentioned at the end of the 15th and the beginning of the 16th century under the name Novigrad, and in 1531 it came into the possession of the Zrinski princes. The castellan Mihajlo Deli-Todor particularly distinguished himself, successfully defending the town in the mid-16th century, after which it was named Todorovo. It came under Ottoman rule in 1578 and became an important border fortress, with a large garrison and artillery. Today, the preserved walls remind us of the significance of this place in the long history of conflicts and life on the Krajina border.
