Kostelski Buk slapovi
tourist attraction in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Region: Northwest Bosnia — Una Valley
The Kostela Waterfalls are one of the most beautiful natural sights on the Una River, located in the village of Kostela, on the route between Bihać and Bosanska Krupa, just eight kilometers from the center of Bihać. In this part of the Una, the river spreads over a series of travertine cascades and waterfalls, creating a vivid and soothing scene of clear emerald water surrounded by lush greenery. Next to the waterfalls, there is a well-known restaurant and hotel, Kostelski buk, housed in an Austro-Hungarian style building, whose terrace overlooks the river and offers a unique view of the cascades and the roar of the water. There is also a small island with a park near the waterfalls, home to numerous birds and animals, which adds a special charm to the entire ambiance. This place is ideal for a break by the river, enjoying local specialties, and taking photographs, and it is also a favorite starting point for rafting and boating down the Una. Every summer, the famous Una regatta passes by the waterfalls. Whether you are looking for the tranquility of nature, a good bite to eat with a view of the water, or the beginning of a river adventure, the Kostela Waterfalls are a true gem of this part of the Una Valley.
