   Gradska Džamija u Bosanskoj Otoci

   This mosque has roots deeply embedded in history. On the site of the current building, the first wooden version of the mosque was erected in 1565, shortly after the arrival of the Ottoman Empire in this region. Over the centuries, the building has been destroyed multiple times — a total of four times — and rebuilt each time, witnessing the turbulent history of Bosnia and Herzegovina. During the war in the 1990s, the mosque was destroyed, only to be restored in 2001 in a completely new form. A mosque set on a river island is a rarity in Europe — an environment that combines the flow of water, peace, and religious tradition. The view of the mosque surrounded by the Una River, the reflection of the water, the greenery of the river, and the small bridge leading to the island create an ideal photo opportunity.

   Kupalište Ćevanuše

   Ćevanuše bathing area is located at the entrance to Bosanska Otoka from the direction of Bosanska Krupa, along the main road Bosanska Krupa – Bosanski Novi. Situated right next to the road, it is a perfect place to relax and refresh on the beautiful Una River. The area is rich in untouched nature, small and large river islands, and charming waterfalls shaped by the river over time. The beach is open to the public with free access. Nearby stands the renovated restaurant Stari Mlin, set in an old mill, offering traditional homemade dishes and drinks with a stunning view of the river and beach.

   Plaža Brioni

   Brioni Beach is one of the most beautiful and unique beaches on the Una River, located near Bosanska Otoka. This hidden gem is still little known to tourists, and therein lies its special charm – untouched nature, crystal clear emerald water, and tranquility far from the crowds. Brioni makes up a large part of the river with several large and small islands around which the Una branches out, creating a vibrant and picturesque scene. The beach is particularly suitable for families and children, and the easiest access is from the right bank, where the water is shallower and safer for the little ones. Access is also possible from both sides of the river, which is convenient for good swimmers who want to explore every corner of this area. One of the accesses leads to the islands near the city mosque, which is connected by wooden bridges on both sides of the river, making the walk to the beach an experience in itself. Whether you are looking for refreshment on warm summer days, a peaceful family day by the water, or simply an escape into nature, Brioni is the right choice.
