On the banks of this wondrous Una River, in the heart of Bosanska Krajina, lies Mlinovi na Uni – an authentic corner of natural and cultural heritage. Once, these wooden mills were the lifeblood of life along the Una: a place where grain was milled, the community gathered, and stories were passed down through generations. Today, they are a symbol of bygone times and a reminder of the strength of a simple yet rich way of life. A walk along the mills takes you back in time – the sound of water, the smell of wood, the rustle of the river – all inviting you to stop, listen, and immerse yourself in a centuries-old story. Though they stand still, the mills still speak, and their architecture tells the story of people who lived in harmony with the river, nature, and themselves.

In the heart of Bosanska Krupa, as a silent witness of time, stands the City Mosque — Pazardžik Mosque, as it is originally named. Its story began around 1830 when it was originally built of wood. After the wooden mosque was demolished in 1905, just three years later, the residents of Krupa united to build a new one similar to the current one. Architecturally, the City Mosque in Bosanska Krupa represents an exceptional blend of pseudo-Moorish and Gothic elements. According to journalist Jasmin Grošić's research, its designer was engineer Karl Fitzinger, whose name appears on the list of officials in the Bosanski glasnik from 1902.

In Bosanska Krupa, the anniversary of the sinking of the RMS Titanic is commemorated each year, honoring four local men: Ćerim Balkić, Redžo Delalić, Ejdo Rekić and Husein Sivić. On April 10, 1912, they embarked for America in search of a better life, traveling in third class among many emigrants. After striking an iceberg in the icy waters of the North Atlantic, the ship sank, claiming more than 1,500 lives. The memorial in Bosanska Krupa preserves the memory of these citizens and the great wave of migration from the Bosnian Krajina region.
